Shelisa Ford Obituary

Shelisa Monique Ford was born on September 27, 1971 in   Houston, Texas to the parentage of Henry Ford, Sr. and Sallie Collins Ford.  She attended Foxwood Elementary, Northwood Middle School and Forest Brook Senior High School.  Shelisa furthered her education by attending San Jacinto College and obtained her degree in Architecture and Design.

At an early age, Shelisa was baptized by Rev. J.C. Hooker at Green Grove Missionary Baptist Church.  In her latter years, she was a staunch supporter and attendee of   Temple of Praise Church.

Having a loving spirit and sense of humor, Shelisa enjoyed art, reading her Bible, coloring and shopping. For many years, she was employed at Texas Children’s Hospital.  She became an entrepreneur and started Shelisa’s Interiors.

On July 7, 2024, Shelisa entered the realm of eternity.  She was preceded in transition by her parents and two brothers (Barry Lynn Ford and Darryl Dwayne Ford).

Left to honor her life and cherish her memory are her   sister, Maia Ford (Callie); brother, Henry Ford, Jr. (Jonet); nephew, Henry (Shannon) and Derrell; great-nephews, Isiah, Dadrian, Micah, Trenton, Donovan and Gavin; niece, LaKeisha and a host of other relatives and friends.
