Russell James Robinson was born on July 1, 1943 in Cecelia, Louisiana to the parentage of Walter Robinson and Mary Lastrape Robinson.
He attended Grand Point Elementary, Carver High School and furthered his education at Lee College in Baytown, Texas.
Russell was baptized on July 17, 1943 at St. Lima Catholic Church by Father George Beaquet. He maintained his faith throughout his life and was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Houston, Texas.
He married Annie Collins and together, they created a loving home. In his leisure time, he enjoyed playing a good game of dominoes.
For over 25 years, Russell worked as welder at Simpson Paper Company and later retired.
On February 9, 2024, Russell James Robinson departed this life. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers (Sidney Robinson, Harold Robinson), two aunts (Hellen Jones, Evelyn Robinson) and grandfather (King Robinson).
Left to honor his life and cherish his memory are his wife, Annie Robinson; two sisters, Delores Ann Clark and Dorothy Kincey; two brothers, Melvin Robinson and Emery Robinson; nieces, Kimberly Kincey, Monic Spencer, Christine Robinson, Debbie Chinambora, Michell Foster and Lisa Robinson; nephews, Marcus Robinson, James Robinson, Glenn Robinson, Curtis Kincey and Harold Robinson and a host of other relatives and friends.
