Rosetta Robinson, known as “Tokie” by family and friends, was born on March 29, 1958 in Houston, Texas to the parentage of Roosevelt and Edna Robinson.
She attended Crawford Elementary, Attucks Middle School and Jesse H. Jones High School. At an early age, she was baptized at Metropolitan Baptist Church by Rev. Pruitt.
Rosetta enlisted in the United States Army on November 11, 1978. She dutifully served her country and received an honorable discharge in May of 1981.
Tokie was a member of the Jesse H. Jones High School Class of 1976 Alumni. She enjoyed playing cards, bingo and going to the game room For many years, she worked in the field of home health care.
Rosetta “Tokie” Robinson completed her earthly tour of duty on September 29, 2023. She was preceded in transition by her parents, granddaughter (Barry Faith Loston) and sister (Gladys Reed).
Left to honor her life and cherish her memory are her children, Roderick Robinson, Chantel Fletcher, Dijonna Loston, Shameia Dorsey; grandchildren, Da’Marcus Williams, Jr., Jayden Stevenson, Ailey Loston and Braylan Kenanagha; sisters, Alma White, Marva Franklin (Carl), Virginia Doty, Pearl Skinner (Edward), Helen Robinson, Veronica Robinson; brother, Merle Doty, Jr. and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends who will truly miss her.
