Rosa Nell Nixon was born on May 24, 1943 in St. Francisville, Louisiana to the parentage of Alex and Francis Sauce Nixon.
She attended Polk Elementary and John Dawson High School.
Rosa was a Christian woman with unshakable faith. She was a long-time member of Christian Hope Baptist Church under the pastoral guidance of the late pastor Reverend Herbert Stroman.
She met and married L.C. Green and later united in matrimony with Calvin Miller. As a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, she had a passion for caring for her grandchildren and was a healthcare provider for many people, for many years.
On June 10, 2024, Rosa Nell Green entered into eternal rest. She was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, all five of her children (Twins, Everly and Beverly Walker, Fred Walker, Donald Ray Nixon and Donna King), grandson (Angelo Walker), one niece (Debra Stevens), five sisters (Carrie Holiday, Tora Foster, Viola Buckley, Ora Lee Allen, Flozell Tooks) and two brothers (William Nixon and Jerry Nixon).
Left to honor her life and cherish her memory are fifteen grandchildren: Sedrick, Herchel, Marie, Andrea, Ashley, Michael, Keyshia, Tekia, Tonya, Gerry, Paul, Edrick, Frederick, Donald Ray, Jr., Shonda, Octavia and Chasity; forty eight great-grandchildren; fourteen great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Bernice Stevens and Lillie May; nephew, Terry Wayne Stevens; nieces, Betty Stevens, Janice Keeton, Gladys Ward, Sharon McKinney and Carolyn Stevens and a host of other relatives and friends.
