REV. JOHNNY WAYNE WILLIAMS

On August 29th, 1949, a baby boy was born to Judge and Rebecca Williams of Wharton, Texas. They named him Johnny Williams.

Johnny attended public school and later moved to Houston, Texas where he became employed at OTECEO where he was an inspector. After 35 years of dedicated service, he retired.

While employed, he married Lenis Wesley.  Together, they maintained a loving household for over 30 years. 

Johnny was the dedicated pastor of Solid Rock Missionary Baptist Church for 32 years.

On November 24, 2024, Reverend Johnny Williams entered into eternal rest.  He was preceded in death by his parents,  son (Johnny “Bubba” Williams, Jr.), and four sisters (Ruth Williams, Verna. Beaudion Vera Toliver, Helen        Washington) and one nephew (Jesse James).

Left to cherish his memory are his wife: Lenis Williams; son, Cecil Williams; three sisters: Louise Booker, Virginia Williams, and Ruby Smith, all of Houston, Texas; one aunt, Mary Rose of Port Arthur, Texas, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
