Ralph Bean Watson was born on April 2, 1962 in Crockett, Texas to Avanak Watson and Burnette Bean Watson. As a young man, Ralph began his Christian journey with New Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church. He later united with and was a current member of Smith Grove Church of Christ.
Ralph’s years of education were in the Lovelady School District. He was a well-rounded student and excelled in sports; particularly football, basketball, and track. After graduation, Ralph began working for the Texas Department of Criminal Justice. Soon afterward, he married Dina Sherman. To this union, two children were born. In his later years, Ralph relocated to Conroe, Texas where he met and married Hallie Hendricks. To their union, a daughter was born.
Ralph was a die-hard Dallas Cowboys fan and never missed an opportunity to defend “The Star”. In addition to cheering on his favorite team, his happiest moments were spending time with friends and family.
On February 9, 2025, God called Ralph into eternal rest. He was preceded in transition by his parents.
Left to cherish his memory are his children: Cortney Sherman (Tiffany) of Houston, Texas, Candice Sherman of Tomball, Texas and Chelsey Watson of Houston, Texas; step-son, Brandon Hendricks; grandchildren: Keytriana Sandles, Cortney Davis, Asia Davis, Taylah Sherman, Cordey Sherman, JuNaa Bagley, Jukyah Bagley and Cori Sherman; siblings: Ruth Jones of Houston, Texas, Burnic King-Jordan of Sugar Land, Texas, Judy Scott (Billy) of Crockett, Texas, Deborah Broady of Houston, Texas, Kimmy Watson (Faye) of Houston, Texas, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
