Otis Sherman Obituary

Otis C. Sherman was born on December 12, 1932 in the Ash Community of Austonio, Texas to the parentage of Richard and Bennie Lacey Sherman.  He attended Mt. Zion Ash Elementary and Stumpville Middle School. Otis accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Mt. Zion Ash Church.  He loved playing dominoes, watching WWF wrestling, basketball and football and was the best comedian. He would play dominoes 7 days a week if he could, and he was good at it. Otis loved spending time with his family, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  They loved a good laugh For much of his life, Otis was and rancher and farmer.  He was very diligent in his duties and took great pride in his work. On April 12, 2023, Otis C. Sherman entered into eternal rest.  He was preceded in transition by his parents, three children (Lena Sherman, Terry Sherman, Ricky Sherman), one grandson (Keldrick Harris), two sisters (Doris Punch, Atheria Easterling) and two brothers (Gentle T. and Lacy Sherman)Left to honor his life and cherish his memory are his wife of 68 years, Ethel Sherman; children, Vanessa Sherman, Ravon Sherman (Martha), Cleotis Sherman, Dina Sherman, Scotty Sherman (Tunia), Debra Harris (Alvie), Fredrick Sherman (Karona), Rodney Sherman (Anisha); 36 grandchildren; 68 great-grandchildren; brother, Lawrence Sherman (Ethel) of Hillsboro, Texas and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
