Milton James Rhodes

Milton James Rhodes was born on December 28, 1934 in  Port Lavaca, Texas to the parentage of James Rhodes and Elbert Williams Rhodes.

At an early age, he was baptized and maintained his faith throughout his life.  As a teenager, he attended F.W. Gross High School in Victoria, Texas. 

For many years, he worked at the Port Lavaca Rice Mills, Inc. for 62 years until he retired and moved to Houston to enjoy life with his wife.

On August 18, 2024, Milton departed this life.  He was preceded in death by his wife (Aurtelia Callis Rhodes), son (Milton Rhodes, Jr.), parents, and two sisters (Marlene Rhodes Archangel and Viola Rhodes).

Left to cherish his memory are his children, Denethra Proctor (Michael), Shavelle Walker (Demontrae),  Deborah Lee (Terry), Jennifer Dixon, Beverly Rhodes (Ray), Ophelia Christian (Edward), Regina Rhodes, Rhichard Rhodes and Darnell Rogers; niece, Vera     Archangel; nephew, Edwin Archangel and a host of other relatives and friends.
