MARCELLA JACKSON Obituary

Marcella Allen was born on November 6, 1936 in Crockett, Texas to the proud parentage of Robell and Mary Ann Ards Allen.

She attended Williams High in the Crockett area.  At an early age, Marcella    accepted Christ and was baptized at Union Prairie Baptist Church. After relocating to Dallas, Texas, she and her siblings would make their way to  Union Prairie on the first weekend of every August to be a part of “Homecomimg”, which was a form of a family reunion.  As a resident of  Dallas, she was a faithful and devoted member of Ledbetter Baptist Church where she was active in many church departments.

Known as “Bo” by family and friends, her loving smile was affectionate and her heart was golden.  She enjoyed cleaning her house and cooking Sunday dinners for her family.  Although she was a licensed beautician, she worked for Ross Stores for many years, where she loved to shop.

Marcella met  Carl Jackson and they were married in May of 1960.  Together, they maintained a home of faith and love.

On February 25, 2025, Marcella Jackson entered the land of eternity.  She  was preceded in transition by her husband, daughter (Jennifer); parents, three    brothers (Lincoln Allen, Red Pruitt Allen, Napoleon Allen); sisters (DeClara Ziglar, Altha Faye Moore); nephews (Jeffrey Allen, Norman Allen, Roderick    Allen, Cedrick Owen, Aaron Rattler, Jaycaden Robinson); two nieces (Linda Colter, Juanita Rattler) grandparents (Author Ards, Malissa Jane Ards, Charlie and Kitty Allen).
