Lorell Hughes Linton

LoRell Hughes Linton was born on June 27, 1986 in Houston, Texas to the parentage of Hughes P. Linton, Jr. and Cynthia Barkley Linton.

Known as “Blue”, LoRell  attended J.J. Rhodes Elementary, Carter J. Woodson Middle School, Woodson High School, CEP Alternative School College and Everest Institutional Tech where he was studying to become a C N A. He  frequently attended Reapers Worship Center.

LoRell loved to listen to music and draw. He often sat in his car for hours on end relaxing and enjoying the tunes. 

On October 29, 2024, LoRell entered into the realm of eternity. He was preceded in transition by his parents, grandfather (William Barkley), aunt  (Beverly Barkley), uncles (William Barkley, Jr., James Edward Barkley, Jonathan Barkley) and great-uncle (Deacon Jacob E. Barkley).

Left to cherish his memory are his children: Ja’Qualyn Baker and Tyneal Greene; grandchildren: Ja’Cori Greene and Ja’Kaycee Greene; sister, Monique Linton Barefield (Byron); grandmothers: Rosetta Barkley and and Grace P. Linton; great-aunts, Cheryl Linton Moore, Jessie M. Barkley-Shepherd, Annie Mae Williams, Arlean Fabemia; uncle, James F. Barkley (Barbara); niece, A’Laira Mitchell; nephew, Dederion Williams and a host of other relatives and friends who will truly miss him.
