Lillian Fay Guice was born on December 11, 1953 in Lufkin, Texas to Hency C. Guice, Sr. and Almeta Owens Guice.
She obtained her formal education and later attended Angelina College where she received an Associate’s Degree in Business Administration.
Lillian was affiliated with the Bahai faith and remained true to her beliefs. She enjoyed reading, sewing, and cooking.
For 15 years, Lillian was employed by the Crockett Independent SchooL District as a bus driver. She also worked with the Texas Department of Criminal Justice as a correctional officer for 10 years and retired in 2019.
She met and married Cleveland Thomas and together, they created a loving home for their family.
On August 26, 2025, Lillian Fay Thomas entered into eternal rest. She was preceded in death by her son (Cleveland J. Thomas), 2 brothers (Bennie Guice, Albert Guice), and sister (Minnie Guice Davis).
Left to honor her life and cherish her memory are her husband, Cleveland L. Thomas; daughter, Crystal Thomas Nakasone (Ryan); 4 sisters: Rosie Washington, Wanda Holmes (Chester), Ruth Williams, June Bogan; one brother, Henry C. Guice Jr. (Ida), and a host of other relatives and friends.
