Kirsten Ann Thomas

Remembering Kirsten

Kirsten Ann Thomas was born on February 26, 1986 in Houston, Texas to the delighted parenthood
of David and Freddie Wooten Thomas. She attended Faith West Academy in elementary and middle
school, and graduated from Katy High School. Thereafter, she furthered her education at Stephen
F. Austin State University.

At an early age, Kirsten accepted Christ and was baptized at Faith West Church on November 7,
1993 by her father.

Kirsten loved fashion, makeup, reading, music and helping others get organized. She was a member
of Gamma Sigma Sigma National Service Sorority.

Kirsten was highly industrious and loved to stay busy. She had a desire to be of assistance to others
and her employment endeavors were indicative of that fact. For 5 years, she worked as a scheduler
at M D Anderson. From 2017-2019, she was a teacher in the Alief Independent School District. For
two years, 2019-2021, she was a teacher at Kipp Academy. In 2021, she returned to Alief ISD to
teach. Kirsten loved to encourage her students. She wanted each one to be successful and know
their worth.

On November 12, 2022, Kirsten Ann Thomas entered the realm of eternity. She was preceded in
transition by her grandparents and several aunts and uncles. Left to honor her life and cherish her
memory are her parents, David and Freddie Thomas; aunts, Eleanor Thomas, Cheryl Thomas,
Diane Thomas (Ricky Earl), Sharon McKnight (Mickel), Gloria Mitchell (Douglas), Mary Schwartz
(Michael) and Emma Ginns (Sammy); uncles, Albert Wooten, Victor Wooten (Alisha), Dennis
Wooten (Venus), Mark Thomas (MaShell), Richard Thomas, and a host of other relatives and
friends.
