Javan Reagans, Jr. was born on October 27, 1964 in Crockett, Texas to Javan and Mildred Marie Richardson Reagans. He attended Crockett Elementary and Middle and graduated from Crockett High School. His education was furthered by attending Sam Houston State University, Hillsboro Junior College and Dallas Baptist University.
Javan accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized by Rev. Foster. From 1970 until he left for college in 1983, he attended Friendship Baptist Church in Crockett.
Javan trained youth in baseball and he loved to cook. His athletic skills were elevated and he was afforded the opportunity to play baseball, professionally, with the Montreal Expo’s. For several years, he worked for Praix Air. For 13 years, he was employed by Air Liquide.
On July 16, 2022, Javan Reagans, Jr. entered the realm of eternity. He was preceded in transition by his wife (Jackie D. Reagans), parents, grandparents (L.C. “Big Poppa” Reagans, Ruby “Big Mama” Reagans, Catherine Sims, Port Arthur “Duece” Richardson, Gladys “Madea” Richardson), great-grandmother (Kelly Warner), uncles (Elliott Reagans, Waddel Reagans, Wilbert Reagans, Charles “Chicken” Richardson, Roy Harris, Willie “Eggie” Walton, III), aunts (Delores Miles, Dorothy Strange, Hazel McKnight, S.T. Woods and Mathew Woods).
Left to honor his life and cherish his memory are his children, Javan Reagans, III and Jalyn Marie Reagans; step-mother, Brenda J. Reagans; sisters, LaVonda Wilson (Jeffery), Tammye W. Reagans, LaKira Patton-Watkins (Isaac) and Jacquelyn Bass (Jeff); brother, Steven A. Reagans; uncles, Kenneth Walton, Nauther Woods and Mathis Woods; aunts, Mae Ethel Cobbs (Charlie), Ethel Mae Richardson, Carol Armstrong (Anthony) Marilyn Levon and Evonne Simpson; nieces, Triviya Jackson, Andreya Bagley, Kristan Hill, Jessica Wilson, Angelica Peterson, Alicia Wilson, Trinitee Smith and Anaiah Watkins; nephews, Brien Hill, Jeffery Wilson, Jr., LaDonte Watkins, Jaden Watkins and a host of other aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends too numerous to list.
