Jarvis Tremaine McCullough, known as “Shanky” by family and friends, was born on June 20, 1981 in Crockett, Texas to the parentage of Lou Annie McCullough and Terry Riley.
Jarvis attended and graduated from Crockett High School. He was baptized at Progressive Baptist Church under the pastoral guidance of Pastor Freddy C. Scott and maintained his faith throughout his life.
For years, Jarvis was a tire technician at Mike Tire Shop, Dominy’s Tire Services for over 15 years, and the RTP Company for 5 years.
On December 16, 2024, Jarvis entered into eternal rest. He was preceded in transition by his grandparents (Myrtle Jean Clark, Dennis Strange, Claude Chester Riley, Sr. and Easter Riley), father (Terry Riley) and step-father (Verlie Williams).
Left to honor his life and cherish his memory are his mother, Lou Annie McCullough; daughter, Ja’Nyah Frierson of Crockett, Texas; sister, Rachel McCullough of Crockett; brother, Terrviunce Riley (Tamica) of Dallas, Texas; aunts: Pearlie Hollman, Linda Riggins (Robert), Shronda Rogers (Freddie), Barbara Anthony and Kisha Riley, all of Crockett, Synthia Riley Brown (Billy) of Bryan, Texas; uncles, Billy Hollman (Carla) of Crockett, Trampus Riley, and Jackly Riley (Mary), all of Crockett, Claude Riley, Jr. of Houston, Herman McCullough of Cleburne, Texas; 2 nieces; 2 nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
