JOHNATHAN RODERIQUES BOYD

Johnathan Roderiques Boyd was born on January 22, 1990 in Meridien, Mississippi to Aretha Boyd and Santonio Portis.

He attended West End Harris Elementary, Northeast Middle School and Southeast High School. At an early age, Johnathan accepted Christ and was baptized at East Mt. Moriah Baptist Church.

After moving to Houston, he gained a new fellowship of friends with his co-workers at Estes Trucking Company.

On February 16, 2025, Johnathan entered into eternal rest.  He was preceded in transition by his grandparents (Barbara Boyd, Legertha Portis, Johnny B. Clark), brother (Khirey Portis), uncle (Craig Portis) and two aunts (Patricia Rhodes, Erica Portis).

Left to cherish his memory are his children: Johnathan Boyd, Jr.,  Dynasti Boyd, Elias Boyd, Jonayah Boyd, Jasiah Boyd; parents:  Aretha Boyd (Darrell Smith) and Santonio Portis (Audra); sister: Phylicia Boyd, Santoreshea Portis, LaVicki Boyd; brothers: Darrell Smith, Santonio    Portis, Jr. (Nicola), Sanquan Portis, Brenton Portis, Ladreckus Portis,  Quinnton Houston, Krdarius Portis; aunts, Raven Boyd, Sherry Hampton (Gary), Doris Lewis (Fred), Ferleaner Burrage (Willie), Ida  Cater (Larry), Marry Clark, Linda Dawson (John); uncles:  Phillip Boyd, Ronnie Portis (Sheryl) and a host of nieces,  nephews, other relatives and friends.
