Isaiah Rayquan Jarrell Gay was born on November 30, 2006 in Houston, Texas to Myesha Monique Sherman and Willie Ray La’Salle Gay.
He attended Codwell Elementary, Albert Thomas Middle School and Sterling High School. His athletic spirit was most visible on the AAU, CSL and VSG basketball court. He enjoyed playing 2K, laughing and listening to music.
In 2018, Isaiah was baptized at Grace Congregational Church by Elder Walter Turner, Jr. Isaiah was a manager at Wendy’s.
Known for his kind heart, quick wit, and infectious smile, he left a lasting impact on everyone he met.
On July 6, 2024, Isaiah entered the realm of eternity. He was preceded in glory by his aunt (Tasha Gay), and four uncles (Steven Sherman, Robert London, Michael Sherman, and Melvin Sherman).
Left to honor his life and cherish his memory are his parents, Myesha Monique Sherman and Willie Ray La’Salle Gay; grandparents: Deadra Watson (Kevin), Lary Eaglin (Linda) and Ola Houston; three sisters: Terranesha Williams, Terranay Williams and Rayden Gay; four brothers: Xavier Gay, Johnny Jernigan, Aayden Gay and Rayden Gay; eight aunts: Renee Gay, Sharon Gay, Alicia London, Theresa London, Cassandra Eaglin, Larissa Eaglin, Michelle Eaglin and Kenshay Snowden; five uncles: Larry Eaglin, Lamar Eaglin, Laron Eaglin, Uhuru Gay and Ruben Gay; three nieces: Ka’Marei Johnson, Mariah Valentine, Kayire Williams, and a host of other relatives, friends, classmates and coaches that will truly miss him.
