Hezekiah Stallworth Obituary

Hezekiah Stallworth was born on April 1, 1935 in Lakewood, Florida to Chester Stallworth, Sr. and Lossie Mason Stallworth.  He was educated in the Hamtramck public school system in Hamtramck, Michigan and furthered his education by attending Ottawa University in Kansas.  He attended seminary at Mary Allen College in Crockett, Texas and dedicated his life to ministry. 

Hezekiah accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Belmont #1 Baptist Church in Garland, Alabama.  He pastored  several churches throughout his ministry which included Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church, Dixon Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church, Weeping Mary Missionary Baptist Church, Beulah Missionary Baptist Church and Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church. 

Hezekiah enjoyed hunting, trapping, fishing, traveling out of state to visit family, community service and raising gardens.  He was a member of the Glee Club and received an honorable discharge from the United States Army. For years, he was  employed in the manufacturing industry. He united in Holy Matrimony with Vernice Cobbs in 1962 and they were married for 18 years.

Hezekiah Stallworth departed this life on March 13, 2024.  He was preceded in death by his parents and 6 brothers ( Harvey Mason, Bernard Stallworth, Chester Stallworth, James Stallworth, Frank Stallworth, Austin Stallworth), and 4 sisters (Annie Ruth Stallworth-Pressley, Rosie Stallworth, Mary Stallworth-Allen, Lillie Stallworth-Brazell).

Left to cherish his memory are his children, Paula Stallworth-Ringer (Michael) and Trena Stallworth; grandchildren, Brittany Wright, Brian McQueen (Tiffany), Isaac Christopher, Jr. (Karla), Natalie Chapman (John), Natasha, Kimberly Stallworth and Michael Ringer, Jr.; 14 great-grandchildren, Samiya Ellis, Searcy Anderson, Phoebe Anderson, Kynedi Simon, Kolton Simon, Kynsley Graham, Jaxx Chatman, Taraji Albert, Jayshaun Albert, Addrain Christopher, Alyssa McQueen, Corbin Mc Queen and Averie Wright.
