Gloria Ann Tillis was born on December 27, 1945 in Crockett, Texas to the parentage of W.L. Tillis and Bessie Mae Robinson Tillis. She attended Ralph Bunch School.
Gloria was baptized at Bethel Baptist Church. She also frequently attended Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, The Church of the Living God, and most recently, New Restoration under the leadership of Elder Earl Whittaker.
Her greatest joys were cooking, housekeeping and praising the Lord. For many years, she served as the Mission President and was instrumental in church fundraisers and checking on the elders in her church family. She was a private home manager for two doctors in the Lufkin area.
On May 15, 2026, Gloria entered into eternal rest. She was preceded in death by her son (Freddy Cudjo), parents, 6 brothers (Connell Tillis, Frank Tillis, Willie Tillis, Eddie Ray Tillis, Johnny Tillis, Bobby Tillis) and 1 sister (Laura Lewis).
Left to honor her life and cherish her memory are her children: Jimmy Cudjo and Xavier Tillis; 2 grandchildren: Khalani Tillis and Xavier Tillis, Jr.; 2 sisters: Lucy Tillis (Loyce) and Tammie Tillis Stewart (Robert); 3 brothers: W.L. Tillis, Jr. (Regina), George Tillis, Jimmy Tillis (Devora); 1 aunt, Glenda Gail Jones (Ronnie); 3 nephews: Vernon Watson, Frank Tillis, Jr., Drayon Tillis; nieces: Jakie Evans, Tiffany Jones, Tranica Tillis, April Berry, Myesha Tillis, Laquanda Tillis, Eboni Love, Tiffany Tillis, Kimberly Tillis, Carnesha Tillis, Latoya Tillis, Shatra Tillis, Shanetra Tillis, Tammy Tillis and a host of other relatives and friends.
