Fayetta Watts was born on the 8th day of October, in the year our Lord, 1959 in Houston, Texas. She was the first child and oldest daughter of seven children born to Carolyn Watts Roberts and John Leo Roberts.
Her education began in the Houston Heights at P.H. Holden Elementary School. She then matriculated to Hamilton Middle School. Fayetta graduated from Waltrip Senior High School in 1977. Thereafter, she earned an Associate’s degree in criminal justice from Houston Community College. She began her professional career at the Foley's corporate office in downtown Houston and worked there for over a decade. Her final professional position was an IT Technical Support Team Member at JP Morgan Chase where she served for over a decade.
Fayetta and Robert Taylor joined in matrimony in 1994. This union was blessed with one daughter, Jordan Symone Taylor. In January 2023, Fayetta became a grandmother to Emori Kalyn Cooley.
On Sunday, April 21, 2024, Fayetta made her transition to be with the Lord. She was preceded in death by her mother, father, sister and a host of other relatives.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughter Jordan; granddaughter, Emori; sister, Carol; brothers, Kenneth, Christopher, John Leo, Jr., and Jesse Wayne; nieces, Andetria, Shavonnah, Brooke, Giovanni, Mahayla; sister-in-law, Mystal; one nephew, Jaxon; aunt, Rose (Darrell); uncle, Bernard; cousins, Darrell, Jr., Kevin, Derrick, Christopher, Jarius, Brandy, April, Lady, Pat, Chris, Lane, Jr., and host of other friends and extended family.
