Frankie Mae Simmons was born on November 4, 1959 in Crockett, Texas to thE parentage of Frank Earl Simmons and Estella Parker. She attended school in Crockett. Later in life, Frankie accepted Christ and united with Bethel Missionary Baptist Church where she attended faithfully.
For many years, she worked in the dietary departments of Winfield Nursing Center and Crockett Independent School District. She married Tony Truscott and they formed a loving home.
Frankie always seemed to draw people close to her. Wherever she lived, she became the mother of the community. Hers was always the go-to house on weekends and Sundays, after church. Dinner was always ready for whomever came by. She enjoyed playing cards and dominoes and enjoying her family and friends. She was loved by everyone.
On June 10, 2025, Frankie Mae Truscott departed this life. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, brother (Chester Simmons) and niece (Akendra Wooten).
Left to honor her life and cherish her memory are her daughter, Tamekye Riggins (Billy Ray); grandchildren: Adrian Dupree, Tevin Riggins, Victoria Riggins, De’Corey Riggins, Kwinyanna Truscott, Chadwick Truscott, Jr.;numerous great-grandchildren; two brothers: Jack Earl Simmons (Joanne) and Royland Owens; sisters: Lola McKnight (Tom), Mary Elam (Pete), Lisa Simmons (Don), Jacklen Porch (Nick), Venus Wooten (Dennis), Marguerite Simmons, Peggy Simmons (Rickey), Rhonda Wooten (Reginald); two aunts: Theresa Colter (Port Arthur) and Earlene Cobbs; uncle, Albert Reese, Jr. (Debbie); special friends: Barbara Anthony, Porter Riggins, Nikki Platt and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends who will truly miss her.
