Eva Bowens, Jr. was born on October 20, 1945 in Crockett, Texas to the parentage of Eva Bowens and Vernell Close Bowens.
He attended and graduated from Williams High School.
At an early age, Eva was baptized at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. He became a member of St. Luke Baptist Church in Crockett where he served as an usher.
Eva had an out-going personality and worked for DMI and McClain-Clebourn Funeral Home.
On June 13, 2025, Eva entered into eternal rest. He was preceded in death by his wife (Evelyn Porter Bowens), parents, two sisters (Bobbie Bowens Watson and Berline Hopkins), brother (Winford Bowens), niece (Courtney Rice) and nephew (Alfred Watson, IV).
Left to honor his life, love and memory are his son, Christopher Love Bowens; two sisters, Mary Martin (Joe) and Carolyn Terrell; a host of nieces and nephews: Steven Bowens, Joe Martin, Jr., Kevin Bowens, Paul Watson, Ladarius Bowens, Leroy Terrell, Keith Terrell, Keith Michael Abbs, Christopher Rice, Jonathan Martin, Joe Martin, III, Tennille Rice, Tonia Martin, Amber Martin, Rahnesia Winston, Monique Abbs, Beronica Terrell, Jayden Martin, Eroyonna Terrell and a host of other relatives and friends.
