Obituary
Donald Gregg Gilmore was born on September 11, 1964 in Albuquerque, New Mexico to the parentage of Oscar Gilmore, Jr. and Canzada Watts, one of three children.
Donald was educated in the Houston Independent School District and attended Cornelius Elementary School, Harman Middle School, and graduated from Sterling Senior High School.
He enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He loved playing with his grandchildren and had a love for drawing and cooking. In addition, he provided one-of-a-kind home healthcare for his siblings, Duane and Dawn.
Donald was employed with Houston Independent School District as a bus driver. He was the lead cook at one of the concessions at NRG Stadium. He also worked at Whataburger and Popeye’s for several years.
On December 27, 2022, Donald Gregg Gilmore transitioned from this earthly life. He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents (Simon Watts, Jr., Minnie Watts and Oscar Gilmore, Sr. and Inez Gilmore) and two uncles (Simon Watts, III and Allen Watts).
Left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Kimberly Spiller; grandchildren, Rashad Cobbs, Kamia and Kamiah Spiller; bonus grandchild whom he loved and cared for, Jayla Wilson; brother, Duane Gilmore; sister, Dawn Gilmore; four aunts, Johnnie May Ray, Matilda Foster, Shirley Bishop, Ellen Cooper and a host of other relatives and friends.
