Donald Charles Allicock was born on September 24, 1949, at 220 Thomas Street, Kitty, Georgetown Guyana, the fifth of sixteen children born to Charles and Mary Zera Allicock.
Donald received his education at the Redeemer Lutheran School. He accepted Christ as his Savior and became an active member in the Royal Rangers Youth Movement of the Assemblies of God Church.
Always a hard worker, Donald learned the skill of polishing and cleaning jewelry and worked for many years with Gaskin and Jackson Jewelers, until he migrated to the United States.
On December 26, 1995, Donald married Carmen Abraham. For almost twenty-eight years, they shared a happy life together.
Donald was employed in the food industry, a career he enjoyed until he became ill and had to retire. He was very independent, lived a simple life and was wise at handling his finances.
In 2015, due to a fall resulting in an injury to his brain, his health began to decline.
On October 23, 2023, Donald Charles Allicock entered into eternal rest. His memory will forever be cherished by his wife, Carmen, who faithfully took care of him until the very end; step-son, Brian Abraham(Juanita); five grandchildren; siblings, Albert, Margaret Brummell(Roy),Yvonne James (Trevor), Malcolm (Angela), Oswald (Pam), John(Tiona), Desiree Vigilance, Juliette Jordan (Keith), Thomas, Rena Garraway (Mark) and David; one uncle, Dr. Moses Josiah; sister-in-law, Selina Odle (Morris); brothers-in-law, Michael Abraham (Bridget), Leonard Abraham (Claire), and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Donald will forever be in our hearts. May he rest in peace.
