Remembering Charles
Charles Ray Davis was born on October 8, 1939 in Kerens, Texas to the parentage of Ernest Davis and Maggie Wilson. He attended the Houston area schools.
At an early age, Charles was baptized. He fellowshipped with Pisidia Baptist Church until his health began to fail.
After reaching the age of majority, Charles enlisted in the United States Army. After dutifully serving his country, he received an honorable discharge. For many years, he worked at the Houston Independent School District and Hermann Hospital as a painter. When it came to relaxation, he enjoyed fishing and hunting.
On December 25, 2022, Charles Ray Davis entered into eternal rest. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife (Lou Verdia Davis), sister (Vernie J. Johnson) and step-son (Jimmie Richard Harris).
Left to cherish his memory are his niece, Annie Land (Tabori); step-children, Dovie Donarz Harris-Guinyard, James Thomas Harris, III, Sebastian Cabot Harris and a host of other relatives and friends.
