Charles Bailey Obituary

Charles Donel Bailey was born on March 11, 1953 in Crockett, Texas to the parentage of Fred Bailey, Sr. and Frankie Mae Sandles.  He attended Lovelady High School and received his high school diploma on May 24, 1973.  After graduation, he enlisted in the United States Armed Forces Army division and was assigned on May 5, 1974.

Thereafter, Charles moved to Houston, Texas and attended Houston Community College where he received his certificate of completion in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration.  He was determined to become an entrepreneur.  With that mindset, he started Bailey’s Landscaping and Cleaning Service which has been successfully operating for over 30 years.

Charles met and married Cathy Lynn White.  Together, they parented three children. 

On June 30, 2024, in Houston, Texas, Charles left this earth on the wings of angels. He was  preceded in transition by his wife, parents, two brothers (Lerander Nauls and A.B. Holiday) and one sister (Ernie B. Holiday).

Left to honor his life and cherish his memory are his children, Auntwan Riggins (Deveka),  Reshard White (Kynara) and Brandy White; grandchildren, Ashten James, Kaylee Jolivette, Lamont Jolivette, Kacey Bryant, Neshun White, Braylon White, A’leyia White, A’shanti  Broussard, Kamrahn Broussard, Masyn Riggins, Hudson Riggins, Keyandra Dennis, Tyler   Dennis, Kayden Dennis, Ruben Williams; great-grandchildren, Ja’nilah James, Alyah James, Ashten James, Jr., Madison James, Ka’mariona James, Ja’nilah Dennis, Ja’ilah  Dennis; sisters, Ruby Dean McCoy, Refell McCullough, Marie Kelly (Brendan), Sophia Bailey, Tracey Bailey; brothers, Reginald Bailey (Barbara), Fred Bailey, Harold Bailey (Joni), Victor Bailey, Rondell Bailey; best friend, Gregory Edwards and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends
