Bobbie Jewel (Cooper) Stewart

Bobbie Jewel Cooper was born on March 30, 1953 in Crockett, Texas to the parentage of Wilbert and Maxie Spurlock Cooper.

She attended Williams High and Crockett High School.  At an early age,  Bobbie was baptized at Union Prairie Baptist Church under the pastoral guidance of Pastor Simpkins.  Later in life, she united with St. James Missionary Baptist Church and maintained her faith throughout her life. 

Bobbie loved to fish and spend quality time with her family.  She worked in the Crockett Independent School District for many years and later retired.

On February 25, 2026, Bobbie Jewel Cooper Stewart entered into eternal rest.  She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters (Carolyn Benson, Diane Frank) and niece (Felicia Bensen).

Left to honor her life and cherish her memory are her husband, Robert Stewart; children:  Stanley Stewart (Leatrice), Robert Stewart (Tammie) and Delbert Reece (Chapelle Bryant); 14 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren;  siblings: Emma Foreman (Joe), Earline Cooper (James Owens), Wilbert Cooper, Devora Tillis (Jimmy), Lavora Cooper, John Cooper (Sherry); 2 aunts: Gloria Ann Davis and Geneva Gardner; special friends: Rosie Allen, Dorothy Carey, Albert Reece and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
