Berkley Arceneaux was born on May 16, 1948 in Liberty, Texas to the parentage of Vernon and Erma Dee Dugat Mosley. She attended Liberty Training High School in Liberty and furthered her education by obtaining her Nursing credentials at Lee College Nursing School.
Berkley accepted Christ and was baptized at an early age. She exercised her faith throughout her life and was a member of Silverlake Church under the auspices of Pastor Reginald DeVaughn.
Berkley enjoyed sports. She was a die-hard Super Bowl watcher and was a proud Houston Texans fan who enjoyed having a good time. She took great joy in spending time with her family and friends and enjoying life. She was a very giving person and was an integral part of the Westbrook neighborhood family.
Loving the profession of nursing, she was a Licensed Vocational Nurse in pediatrics and worked at Kelsey-Seybold for many years until she retired. Since nursing was a part of her makeup, she came out of retirement and worked for MD Anderson until a second retirement.
On October 27, 2023, Berkley Arceneaux entered into eternal rest. She was preceded in transition by her parents and brother-in-law (Richard Holloway).
Left to honor her life and cherish her memory are her children, Darryl Arceneaux, Larry Arceneaux (Sabrina) and Cynthia Arceneaux; grandchildren, Kelscia Boyd, Ebony Burkett (Warren), Everett Pleasant, Miya Freeman (Darius); great-grandchildren, David Hood, Jr. and
Nariah Burkett; siblings, Sidney Mosley (Brenda), Linda Holloway, Carolyn Dean (Julius), Vernon Mosley, Jr., Veronica Mosley and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends who will truly miss her.
