Bobbie Jean Burns was born on September 1, 1938 in Grapeland, Texas to the parentage of Wash Burns, Jr. and Lula Mae Murchison Burns.
A graduate of W.R. Banks High School, Bobbie united with Ceder Branch Baptist Church at a young age and maintained her belief and walk with God on a daily basis, until her passing.
Bobbie met and married Sidney Carl Scott. This union was blessed with one son: Demeters Lynn Scott. Years later, she met the love of her life, Frank James Robinson, and they remained a loving couple until his death.
For years, she was employed as a cook at multiple restaurants in Crockett. She was highly loved and respected. During her leisure time, she enjoyed laughing, joking and storytelling with family and friends.
On April 3, 2025, Bobbie Jean Scott entered into eternal rest. She was preceded in death by both husbands, her parents, son, two sisters (Edna Pearl Stubblefield, Verdie B. Tryon), and two brothers (Charles Leroy Burns and Quanard Burns).
Left to cherish her legacy and wonderful memories are two brothers, James Burns (Brigette) of Grapeland, Texas and Billy Burns of Dallas, Texas; one sister, Alice Mathews of Glenn Heights, Texas; special cousin, Diane Murchison; extended family: Denman, Robinson, and Tillis families and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends and church members.
