Andrew was born on April 18, 1989 in at LBJ Hospital in Houston, Texas to Lenice Collier. He attended Windsor Village Elementary, Christa McAuliffe Middle School and graduated from Willowridge High School in 2008.
Andrew was a member of The Lord Jesus Christ Holiness Church under the pastoral guidance of Pastors Darwin and Pamela Allen. He maintained his faith throughout his life. He was the most gentle soul, yet still the most candid man you could ever know. He never stayed in one place too long, yet he made friends and helped people wherever life took him. During high school, he was a cheerleader, while also being at the top of his ROTC unit.
Andrew was a phenomenal cook whose salmon croquettes were untouchable. He was also a talented saxophone player, piano instructor, accomplished gymnast, and an amazing dog groomer. He was a dog enthusiast with immense knowledge who could do anything from help a dog give birth to saving its life. He was a man of many coats and imparted knowledge with anyone willing to learn. He was a man who enjoyed the finer things and could be caught watching a 1950’s musical while drinking a glass of tea. More recently, you could find him doing another of his skills; gardening.
Andrew would never cease to amaze or improve, getting back up every single time he fell. He was willing to give anyone the shirt off his back, whether he had it or not. He never missed a birthday or milestone. If it was important to you, it was important to him. Even during his last years of life, the selfless love and compassion he possess never ceased or subsided. For over 30 years, he was the light in a dark room and his presence and the impact he had on so many lives will never be forgotten. He was selfless, caring, loving, and never left anyone without letting them know how much they were loved and appreciated. He was a voice of reason; the mediator, one-of-a-kind. He will never be forgotten, but forever remembered and missed by all who were fortunate enough to know him. He was a loving son, loved cousin, and even though he was an only child, an amazing brother. Thank you, Andrew. We love you.
