Al Dennis Griffin, Jr.

Al Dennis Griffin, Jr., was born on October 15, 1981 in Houston, Texas to Velma Byrd and Wymond Homer.

Affectionately known as “Lil’ Man” by family and friends, Al  attended Fairchild Elementary, Woodson Middle School, and Jones High School.

At an early age, Al was baptized by Rev. C. Perry, Sr.  At  the  onset of the COVID pandemic, he became an avid member of the online community taking part in worship.

Al enjoyed music and being on his cell phone playing games and watching movies.  For a period of time, he worked at Walmart.

On November 24, 2025, Al Dennis Griffin, Jr. departed this life. He was preceded in death by his father, grandparents (Arlington Busby and Victoria Johnson), two brothers (Justin Griffin and DeRay Griffin).

Left to cherish his memory are his children: Kyla, Kaylen and A’mill Griffin; granddaughter, Paris; mother, Velma Sanders: three sisters: Latricia Byrd, Kendra Sanders, Ar’Lena Sauls; one brother, Eugene Sauls; aunts, Iva, Vanessa and Carolyn Homer, Annie Johnson; uncles: Oscar and James Byrd, L.D. and Leo Homer, Ray and Bobby Johnson; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends who will truly miss him.
