Aaron Britton Jr. Obituary

On July 31, 1956, Aaron Britton, Jr. made his grand entrance into the world and stole the hearts of his parents, Aaron and Nancy Wright Britton.  The third child of six, Aaron was baptized at an early age under the leadership of Rev. Lee  Bullock, pastor of Old Elam Missionary Baptist Church. He joined Good Hope Missionary Baptist Church and was a faithful attendee until his health failed.

Known by family and friends as “Jim," Aaron received his education in the Hearne Independent School District and graduated from Hearne High School in 1974.  After graduation, he relocated to Port Arthur, Texas and eventually made Houston, Texas his home.  While in Houston, he utilized his skills, communication abilities and charisma to elicit genuinely, and at times,  comical conversations.

Aaron’s wit and personality allowed him to gravitate toward and build rapport with anyone that crossed his path.  He was full of energy, life,       determination and love.  He secured gainful employment at a local refinery, Foley’s Warehouse, Sears and Gillman Honda.  During his tenure with Foley’s, he met his true love, Mary, in 1990.  In June 1992, they were united in Holy Matrimony.  To this union, one son, Adrian, was born.  Adrian became the second son born to Aaron, joining his big brother, Aaron Johnson, Jr.

On June 28, 2022, God called Aaron Britton, Jr. home to glory and upgraded his earthly home for a new mansion in the sky.  He was preceded in transition by his parents, brother (Marvin Britton) and nephew (Larzarus Britton).

Left to cherish his legacy of love and memories are his wife, Mary Britton; sons, Adrian Britton and Aaron Johnson; three grandchildren, Indigo Johnson, Faylin Prince Johnson and Lyndan Saint Johnson; siblings, Ella Britton Moore, Lenora Britton Tyrone, Margaret Britton Muckelron (Kennard), Richard Britton (Charli); special niece and nephew-in-law, Sonji and Herman Jack; three sisters-in-law, Frances Burrell, Ruthie Hagger (Leo) and Charlotte Ware; one brother-in-law, Rufus Allen, Jr. (Linda) and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, other relatives, friends and neighbors.
