Anthony Wayne Parker-Roberts
Anthony Wayne Parker-Roberts was born on December 10, 1964 in Houston, Texas to Booker T. and Dorothy Parker Roberts. He accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age at Christian Hope Baptist Church under the leadership of the late pastor Reverend Herbert Stroman. He attended public school in the Houston Independent School District and later gained employment at several different construction and flooring companies.
Years later, he met and married Yolanda Nicole Mouton. This union was blessed with one son; Anthony Wayne Parker, Jr. In 2010, Anthony united with The Fountain of Praise under the leadership of Dr. Remus Wright, Senior Pastor.
Anthony was a devoted and loving brother, father, grandfather and uncle. He was known for his overwhelming personality, vibrant smile, one-of-a kind laughter, unique fashion style and his love for his family. His laughter would light up a room, his presence was magnetic, and he had a unique gift for making friends.
Anthony had a great passion for pit bull dogs. He enjoyed watching NFL football and playing dominoes and cards. After his health began to fail, he moved his residency with his sister, Linda. The majority of his time was spent with his family, friends and other relatives. He had a special bond and relationship with his family, children and grand-children.
On September 2, 2025, Anthony Wayne Parker Roberts, beloved brother, father, grandfather, uncle, cousin and friend, gained his heavenly wings and entered into eternal rest. He was preceded in death by his spouse (Quintine “Michele” Anderson Parker), parents, grandparents, two brothers (Venny Parker, Rickey Roberts), and one nephew (Brock Andrews). Left to cherish his memory are his son, Anthony Wayne Parker, Jr.; 8 bonus children: Danielle, Kiara, Porsha, Jennifer, Jessica, Tavia, Dominic, Xavier; one grandson whom he reared, Markell; 26 grandchildren; 5 sisters: Debra Dotson, Linda Babalola, Charlotte McDonald (Youree), Naurcissus ”Lynn” Parker, and Althea Roberts Linnear; one brother, Booker T. Roberts (Karen); nieces and nephews: Latacha (Cory), Adreinne (Nathaniel), Roderick (Temeca), Dondre, Ursula (Cedric), Angela, Amber, Cruz, Kaeyon, Joseph, Shauntell; aunts: Lillie White, Martha Toddband Bettie Roberts Hightower (Gibb), Lisa Roberts Fisher and Elaine Roberts; best friends, Ronald and Margaret Saddler, Anthony Pickens, and Elton Hagan; special friends, Kimberly Parker Williams, Cynthia Coates, and a host of beloved relatives and friends.
Anthony was loved by his family and friends. He will always be remembered for his love for family, his joy and his courage to continue to live with class, dignity and pride, to the end.
