JUANITA HARVEY Obituary

Juanita Faye Harris was born on September 1, 1961 at Nightingale Hospital in El Campo, Texas, the beloved daughter of Albert and Izine Harris.

She attended and graduated from Jesse H. Jones High School in Houston, Texas.

At an early age, Juanita accepted Christ and was baptized.  A faithful believer, she united with South Union Missionary Baptist Church in Houston, Texas where she nurtured her faith and served the Lord dutifully.

Affectionately known as “Net” by family and friends, she dedicated her professional life as a phlebotomist and licensed cosmetologist.  She had an extraordinary talent for braiding hair and  she loved to dance. She made everyone around her feel beautiful, loved, and welcome.

On March 19, 1994, Juanita united in Holy Matrimony with the love of her life, Tom Harvey, Jr.  Together, they built a marriage rooted in faith, love, commitment, and family.

Net was a devoted wife, loving mother, proud grandmother, adored daughter, cherished sister, aunt, cousin, and faithful friend whose warmth and generosity touched everyone she met.

On Sunday, June 21, 2026, Juanita Faye “Net” Harvey was swept away into the arms of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.  She was preceded in death by her father, beloved niece (Diamond Thornton), and grandparents (Jessie Lee and Bertha Clark).

Left to honor her life and cherish her memory are her loving and devoted husband, Deacon Tom Harvey, Jr.; her dear children, Izine Harris, Jamie Harris, and Tom Harvey III; her adored grandchildren: Siyah Battle, Zaylei Allen, Skye Battle and Zavier Davis; mother, Izine Harris; her beloved siblings: Albert Harris, Jr., Diana Goodie, Madrid White, Selecia David, and Demetria Harris; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members and dear friends.

Though our hearts are broken, we rejoice in knowing that Juanita now rests peacefully in the loving arms of the Lord. Her beautiful spirit, loving heart, and lasting legacy will live on through her family and all who knew and loved her.

"Well done, good and faithful servant... Enter into the joy of your Lord." — Matthew 25:23
