IJ White jr.

I.J. White, Jr. was born on March 27, 1946 in Cherokee County to the parentage of I.J. and Evelyn Skinner White.  He attended school in the Kennard community.Known as “Joe Boy” by family and friends, he was baptized at an early age.  For enjoyment, he played the guitar and the keyboard.Starting out as a little boy,  Joe Boy worked in the woods as a   logger.  He dropped out of school in the sixth grade to help take care of his mother and family.On April 20, 2023, I.J. “Joe Boy” White, Jr. entered into eternal rest.  He was preceded in death by his parents, 4 sisters (Annie Mae White, Marie White, Eva Lee Hopkins, Hollie Bradley) and 4 brothers (Donald White, Jefferson White, Joe Edward White, John White).Left to cherish his memory are his nieces, Barbara Williams (Robert) of Tadmor, Texas and Jacquelin White (Noel) of Dallas, Texas; nephews, Clifford White (Jermeka) of Conroe, Texas, Charles White of Little Rock, Arkansas, Anthony Hopkins (Emily), Kendrick Hopkins of California, and a host of other  relatives and friends.
